Satan’s Time – Part II

I had commented in my last post of visits from Our Most Holy Mother that gave light (in their respective historical times) to the “possibility of” catastrophic earthly events if humanity were not to repent and return to God. Let us review three significant Marian visitations chronologically and Our Mother’s severe warnings to the world.

Our Lady of La Salette (1846)

A few years prior to Pope Leo XIII’s vision between Our Lord and Satan, our Holy Mother appeared to Maximim Giraud and Melanie Calvat in La Salette, France.  As the children were tending animals in the fields, there appeared a light as bright as the sun some distance from them. From within that light they heard a voice that beckoned them, “come and do not be afraid. I have great news to share with you.” Once in Her presence, Our Mother appeared as a beautiful lady sitting and weeping upon the stones.  Our Lady told the children how hard it was for her to implore God to intercede for the people [of France] who continue to sin; how difficult it is to keep God’s right hand from His just punishment. She asked [of the children and of France] to pray, to convert to God, to make peace with Him and to understand that all the hardships that fall on the people are caused only by human sin. To each child she shared a secret not physically heard by the other. To Maximim she foretold of a great famine. Maximim set forth to spread the news of Our Lady, but was scorned by most people, for at that time food was abundant. The public message [to both children] provided to the people of La Salette foretold of a great chastisement for France if her people did not cease to a) profane the Day of the Lord, b) to take His Name in vain and c) to mock religion. What Our Lady foretold was realized in the upcoming years – the potatoes turned to dust, the nuts were bad and the grapes spoiled. Most tragically however was the deaths of many children in arms of their parents. An unknown and terrible sickness never before seen struck France and many children died. Our Mother shared more with Maximim, but the full content of his secret was never revealed in his lifetime. His persecution continued until his death. He died a poor man by worldly measures, but rich with the joy of eternity. (Maximin Giraud, Berger de La Salette, by Henri Dion (Éditions Résiac: Montsurs, 1988)).

Melanie, like Maximim, was also given a secret which would later be published in 1879, though her attempts to publish at an earlier time were thwarted by many influential people including her bishop. [It is quite noteworthy to mention that her original publication date of 1858 would have coincided with Our Lady’s first visit to Bernadette Soubirous]. Because her bishop refused her request to publish the secret, she appealed to the new Pope, Leo XIII to whom she was given a private audience. Though the pope would eventually give her permission to publish the secret, he did so unwillingly.

As a side note, it seems clear that Our Lord had a clear role for Pope Leo XIII as well, given the vision he would witness just 5 years into his future. The result of the vision would guide the pontiff to write the prayer of St. Michael, which was added to end of all Masses until after Vatican II, where it and and other closing prayers were removed.

Briefly speaking, Melanie’s secret gave a foreshadow the the decay of the Church. “Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of the Antichrist.” Though this statement is open to interpretation, I speculate that it made a strong reference to the French Revolution, Napoleon (who many saw as an Antichrist) and financial reform to the French state that would lead to the Church to give up her rights to property tithes and in turn allow the state to take over its funding. Now with all authority located within the nation, the Church became open to additional reforms ultimately resulting in the Constituent Assembly passing a decree that placed all Church property at the disposition of the nation. Bishop Charles-Maurice de Tallyrand, [a French politician and diplomat who became the Agent-General of the Clergy in 1780 to represent the Church to the French Crown] was one of the few “clerics” to agree to this reform and held the position that all Church property rightfully belonged to the nation and that its return, by helping to bring about a better society should therefore be viewed as a religious act.

Our Lady of Fatima (May – October 1917)

The Virgin Mary appeared six times from May – October 1917 with her final appearance giving way to “The Miracle of the Sun” a promise given to the children to whom she appeared that a “sign would be given” for all to see and believe that she indeed was “the Immaculate Conception” sent by Our Lord. Our Lady gave three secrets to three shepherd children, the now Saints Jacinta and Francisco Marto and Lucia dos Santos. A summation of the Three Secrets follows:

First Secret – The children were shown a vision of Hell. Demons tormented the souls in human form and shrieks and groans of pain and despair were heard by the children and horrified them. After witnessing this vision, especially Jacinta but also Francisco found that no act of personal suffering was too far reaching that they could not offer it to Our Lord Jesus in reparation for sinners and the sins of the world.

Second Secret – Our Lady asks that Russia be consecrated to her Immaculate Heart:

“I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays. If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.”

Third Secret – Sister Lucia was told by Our Blessed Mother that the Third Secret should be revealed only after 1960 because it would have greater meaning at that time. The secret however was not revealed at this time. Personally, I believe that the Third Secret of Fatima has yet to be revealed to the world because the truth of it would have greatly impacted the Second Vatican Council (1962 – 1965) and its “new reforms” to worship which has ultimately corrupted the church and again brought her into a state of severe decay. It is my interpretation in light of the first and second secret, that the third is not consistent to these messages; it is also vague where the first and second secrets were direct. Furthermore, what was revealed at Akita, Japan (as I will soon review) gives true light to this perspective. Below find an excerpt from the “officially released” of the Third Secret:

“A Bishop dressed in White ‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father’. Other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God. “

Privileged to read the Third Secret, Cardinal Ottaviani said of it (December 15, 1960) “It suffices to cast a rapid glance at what is happening at this moment in the world, in order to recognize that without the intervention of the Mother of all mercy near the All-Powerful, the world risks becoming pagan once more, a paganism more deplorable than the first paganism, because it is aggravated by apostasy. We are witnessing a veritable deluge of sins, a deluge which leaves behind it a nauseating quagmire, infected by immorality, lies and blasphemy.” (https://www.tldm.org/news10/thirdsecretgreatapostasy.htm )

It is also noteworthy to state that the Third Secret was written on a single piece of paper, whereas the Vatican’s document was three pages.

Our Lady of Akita

If you are not familiar with this Marian apparition, you are in good company. Many believe this apparition has been intentionally hidden by Satan to keep humanity from knowing the paralleling link between Akita and Fatima and Our Lady’s even greater worldly warnings. [The then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger said of Akita that “it is the same as the third secret of Fatima and a ‘definitive judgment as reliable and worthy of belief.'” It has been debated since this statement that Cardinal Ratzinger never made such a claim; I believe that he did.

Our Most Holy Mother appeared to Sr. Agnes Sasagawa in Akita, Japan between July and October of 1973 (note that the Roe v Wade case legalized abortion in the US, January 22, 1973). Among several secrets she would share to Sr. Agnes, she revealed the following sobering message, “My dear daughter, listen well to what I have to say to you, ‘As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible chastisement on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge of the flood – such as one was never conceived before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity – the good as well as the bad sparing neither priest nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms that will remain for you will be the Rosary – the sign left by my Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests. The devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops opposing bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres. Churches and altars will be sacked. The church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord. If sins increase in their gravity there will no longer be pardon for them.”

In addition, Our Lady said, “That the world might know his anger, The Heavenly Father is preparing to inflict a great chastisement on all mankind. With thy Son, I have intervened so many times to appease the wrath of the Father. I have prevented the coming of calamities by offering Him the sufferings of His Son on the Cross, His Precious Blood and the beloved souls who console Him by being victim souls. Prayer, penance and sacrifices can soften the Father’s anger.”

It seems evident that these Marian visitations point the direction to our world’s destruction. For more than 100 years, Our Lady has implored us to repent. In our modern age the majority either ignore, deny or are oblivious to the eternal consequences of our actions. Retrospectively, it is sorrowful that the sins of our first parents repeat themselves under the guise of personal freedom. Like Narcissus, we are lost in the illusion of subjectivity where “sin is not relevant to me” and therefore does not exist. Thus, sin can be eliminated by a culture who recreates the essence of godliness in itself. The serpent Satan captivates us with his Siren song and lures us very willingly into eternal death.
